Questions people ask
What is LingoVik?
A web app for learning Norwegian (for English speakers) and English (for Persian speakers). You learn with flashcards that come back at the right time, short quizzes, grammar lessons, real voices, videos and small games. Your Viking teacher, Bjørn, keeps you company.
Which courses and levels can I choose?
English → Norwegian from A1 to C1, and Persian → English from A1 to B2. Persian → English C1 is coming soon.
How does the 7-day free trial work?
You add a payment method when you start. Nothing is charged for 7 days. We send you an email before the trial ends.
If you cancel before day 7, you pay nothing. If you don’t cancel, your plan starts on day 7 and renews until you cancel.
How do I cancel?
In the app: Settings → Account → Subscription → Manage. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
Who handles the payments?
Paddle, our online reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle takes the payment, adds the right VAT or sales tax for your country and sends your receipt. We never see your card number.
Can I use it on my phone? Does it work offline?
Yes. Open lingovik.com in your phone’s browser and add it to your home screen. Lessons and reviews you have opened keep working without internet, and your progress syncs when you are back online.
Is the content made by AI?
Some of it. Some pictures, example sentences, explainer videos and podcasts are made with AI, and the lessons were written with AI help and checked by rules for correct forms. AI can still make mistakes. Every screen has a 🐞 button so you can tell us.
Who can use LingoVik?
Adults: you must be 18 or older to create an account.
What happens to my data?
We keep only what the app needs to work: your account, settings and learning progress. No ads, no tracking, no selling of data. You can download or delete your data any time. Read the Privacy Policy.
